Fried Bananas with Cinnamon//Vegan+GF


One of the best part of travelling is exploring new places and the culture and trying different foods. It’s a great chance to be inspired and trying to recreate some of the vegan recipes . Since I became vegan I had to cook more often at home because there’s not that many different options where to eat or what to buy in the shops. Recently I started to experiment with some vegan desserts and snacks . I had never been the best cook or just enjoyed cooking but slowly I’m getting better and I’m starting to like it . One of my first recipes I tried is Pan Fried Bananas with Cinnamon !

It’s super easy and quick recipe for anyone to make. It doesn’t need many ingredients or long time to cook so this is a perfect snack when you just want something sweet and you’re too tired to make a proper dessert or go to the shop.

I got inspired for this recipe from Pinterest, I use Pinterest for some great ideas what to cook for myself at home. And fried bananas with cinnamon is a great combination. I love it.

You will need only few things:

  • 2x//Bananas
  • 1 teaspoon//Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon//Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon//Vegan butter

Cut two bananas into slices, not too thin because the bananas gets soften while cooking so it’s better to have thick slices. Use 1 tablespoon of Vegan butter, I use Flora dairy free spread, you can get it for a good price and works perfectly. 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Then heat up the frying pan and add butter,sugar and cinnamon.

Heat them up all together that it turn into smooth mixture. I use sugar to make it little bit sweeter.

When that’s all mixed together nicely add the bananas and cook until they are little bit brown but not burned, make sure to keep checking them.

After about 4 minutes flip them over and continue to cook the other side. Don’t forget to move them around that they don’t burn.

Together shouldn’t take longer then 9 minutes for them all to be cooked smoothly with the cinnamon sauce. This is made for 2-4 servings but you can easy make more and change some ingredients, maybe apples with cinnamon?!

All cooked and ready to eat, I decided to try them with some peanut butter cream and it tasted amazing, most of the peanut butter creams are vegan so you can easy find them in any shops,just make sure you check before you buy it.

Together this cost me £5.74 but all these ingredients will last me for a long time.
